A sharp and delicate story that takes place in a future not far from our times. A dystopian reality built on an architecture able to influence human behavior, the Bioma Project: a bio-city planned to generate mutations into the human body in order to keep humans happy.
A city built following architectural guidelines able to generate mutations in the human body and behavior in order to make people happy, this is the Bioma Project, beased on an idea of Marta Fiani.
In Tundra, one of the Bioma-cities that cover the national territory, Diana lives in an apartment that used to belong to Marta Fiani’s daughter Lea. Looking through Lea’s notes and letters, Diana will bring back to life Marta and Lea’s lives and ideas, and she will find out how the “Tundra model” changed human relations and their perception of time.
This novel reveals the huge talent of its author and her ability to create a real page-turner. The book’s engaging writing and atmosphere remind of Don DeLillo’s works and of the movie Solaris.
«As powerful and seductive as a movie like Metropolis, as imaginative and terrifying as some of Philip K. Dick’s stories, as alienating as Daniil Charms’ reasonings, at the same time it contains the magnificent richness of an independent and creative mind, who perfectly and elegantly dominates its subject.»
